上海新和中学国际部2015年暑期实践：模联

　　Congratulations to Shanghai Xinhe Middle School for successfully participating in WEMUN Expo 2015, the largest Model United Nations (MUN) conference and internationaleducation events in Asia. The conference, sponsored by the China Public Diplomatic Association, took place at the Grand Epoch City Hotel in Beijing from August 3- 6. It has become one of China’s most important academic competitions with over 1,000 high school students participating from 25 different countries.

　　This year our students, referred to as delegates,were assigned to represent the country of Chile and participated in committees organizedand directed by undergraduate students attending the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University, University of Chicago, University of California/Berkeley and University of Oxford (UK). Some of the topics our delegates researched, wrote position papers, and debated included Terrorism in Africa, Economic Development in Southeast Asia, Industrialization in Developing Countries, Land Distribution and Property Rights in Latin America, All eviation of Poverty, and the Irreversible Damage of Climate Change.
